How to choose the right blower for your old Buck Stove

The old 26000, 27000, and 28000 Buck Stoves used several different styles of blower motors.  Unfortunately, they are not all cross-compatible.   Most Buck stoves were sold with a three-speed blower system that would automatically turn the fan on and off as the stove heated up and cooled down.

One of the most common versions of the blowers was the three speed motor with a large (9") fan blade on one side of the motor, and a smaller (3") fan blade on the rear of the motor.    This motor has two fan blade shafts that stick out from it and four wires.

Our part number for this motor is 1MBS2 and you can find it by clicking this link.

Buck also used a motor made by a company called Morrill, this motor was used in a clockwise and counterclockwise rotation.    The part number for the clockwise rotation is 1MMBS3.  You can find that part by clicking this link.
The counterclockwise motor has a part number of 1MMBS4.  You can find that part by clicking this link.

In order to determine which motor you have, you will likely need to take the old motor out of the stove and look at it.  We do not recommend ordering a motor until you have verified the correct motor for your stove.
